Oil Paintings and more
Hello, I’m Cameron
I appreciate you stopping by my website, and I hope you enjoy my art! You can see many of my paintings in the Gallery, my available paintings are right here, and you can read more about me here. I paint better than I write, but I wrote a little introduction anyway.
My painting journey started around 13 years ago, equipped with some student-grade acrylic paint and the drive to figure it out. I worked through lots of small paintings over the next year or so, and it was a struggle. After a stretch of feeling stuck, It was recommended I try oil paints, so I did, and that’s when things started to click.
In 2017, I finished my first commissioned painting, a 36” x 48” oil painting of a local landscape and historic bridge that went on to win Best of Show at the Verdigris Valley Art Exhibit. After that, I have kept busy ever since! My commission work has complimented my personal work; broadening my horizons and driving me to improve the artwork & services I offer to my valued clients. I find inspiration from Mother Nature, my imagination, the lovely people around me, and the work & lives of my personal art heroes.
Life can be busy sometimes, but painting is never far from my mind and even thinking about it is nice. I’m always on the lookout for interesting and beautiful vignettes of everyday life. There is joy to be had just from taking time to time to notice the beauty, but it’s also inspiring and helps with learning to see the world through an artists’ lens. Don’t forget to enjoy the scenery, watch the sun set, walk through the trees, and look for the hidden gems out there. If you end up feeling inspired to paint from all that beauty you discover, I also offer lessons for artists of all ages and experience levels.
Each of my oil paintings is made with premium paint and materials. In case you’re curious, I primarily use Blue Ridge Oil Colors and Rosemary & Co. brushes. These paints do not compromise on color or cohesion, so I always get clean, vibrant colors that cure into strong, flexible paint layers. Making the most of modern materials and time-tested traditional methods helps me achieve beautiful, long-lasting artwork.
Please drop me a line if you have any questions, or if you are interested in an available painting or custom commission.
