Oil Paintings and more

Hello, I’m Cameron

I appreciate you stopping by my website, and I hope you enjoy my art! You can see many of my paintings in the Gallery, my available paintings are right here, and you can read more about me here. I paint better than I write, but I wrote a little introduction anyway.

My painting journey started 14 years ago, equipped with a set of brushes & acrylic paint gifted to me by my father, and the drive to figure it out. I worked through many paintings and spent hours on hours studying with books and other resources. It was a productive struggle full of learning opportunities (aka mistakes). Eventually, I followed a recommendation to try oil paint to address some of the struggles, and that was a great recommendation! I switched to using oil paint almost exclusively afterwards.

In 2017, I finished my first commissioned painting, a 36” x 48” oil painting of a local landscape and historic bridge that went on to win best of show at the local Verdigris Valley Art Exhibit, and I have kept busy ever since. My commission work has complimented my personal work; broadening my horizons and driving me to improve the artwork & services I offer to my valued clients. I find inspiration from Mother Nature, my imagination, the lovely people around me, and the work & lives of my personal art heroes.

Each of my oil paintings is made with premium paint and materials. In case you’re curious, I primarily use Blue Ridge Oil Colors and Rosemary & Co. brushes. Making the most of modern materials and time-tested methods helps me to achieve beautiful, long-lasting artwork.

Please drop me a line if you have any questions, or if you are interested in an available painting or custom commission.

Life can be busy sometimes, but painting is never far from my mind and even thinking about it is nice. I’m always on the lookout for interesting and beautiful vignettes of everyday life. Taking time to enjoy those things is a source of joy and inspiration, and has helped me to see the world through an artists’ lens. If you’re inspired to make art but not sure where to begin, or maybe you’re feeling stuck, I offer lessons for artists of all ages and experience levels.
